– Another Guinness record dedicated to the sick
blood cancer
We are very pleased to announce that REKORD GUINNESS (OFF ROAD) IN THE CONTINUOUS JACKET AT THE MOUNTAIN BIKE FOR 12 HOURS HAS BEEN POBINED!
The record was beaten by Valerian Romanovski from Busko-Zdrój on July 29, 2015. Valerjan took off at 7:15 in the rain and beat over 300 kilometers without interruption for twelve hours on a bicycle.
The record for continuous mountain biking for 12 hours belonged to American Mike Unklesbay and was 260 km. It was established in April 2014.
Valerian promotes the idea of bone marrow donation and encourages registration as a potential bone marrow donor at DKMS Polska Foundation. His record and the hard work put in his beat were dedicated to all those suffering from blood cancer.
The first attempt to hit the record took place on 25 July this year, but due to extremely difficult atmospheric conditions the test had to be stopped despite Valerian’s excellent result.
This is the second Guinness record beaten by Valerian and dedicated to the patients struggling with blood cancer. Last year, Valerjan broke the record for an uninterrupted, 48-hour mountain bike ride on the 800-kilometer off-road route.
